Momentum

Ages 18 - Early 30's

   It's been said that this generation cannot be stopped. It is a generation of warriors that love God, even unto death. At no other time in history, has there been a more determined generation, to see the Church move from its 'status quo', compromised state, to a powerful force to be reckoned with. These young adults are not seeking a name or recognition, just change. God is responding to their heart's cry for something better. The young adult culture is one of the fastest growing groups in the nation today and many have recognized the need to reach out to people eighteen years ofage into the early thirties.

  A Word from God came in the early 1980's to Mike Bickle, Overseer of The International House of Prayer in Kansas City, saying, "I am going to change the understanding and expression of Christianity in one generation." That generation, through unity and prayer, have the capacity to change a nation . . . . .even the world. This generation of young adults is being propelled into a world disillusioned and repulsed by organized religion. They are passionate to see the Kingdom of God come to earth through a living Church, with a message that is relevant and timely. He is using this unique and artistic generation to shake the normal, in pursuit of the supernatural.

  With the need being so great and few options existing, Momentum was born in August of 2004. Through Momentum's ministry, we are providing opportunity for them to come together, experience friendship, pray, receive equipping, and find a platform for authentic Christianity.
